Leathery, waxy leaves and tips turned down. Is this nitrogen toxicity? Been in Happy Frog it’s whole life. Just started feeding 2 days ago. 18/6 light schedule.

Yeah it's called clawing. Dark waxy leaves with curled tips. Nitrogen tox.

Advanced stages will burn the tips and continue to cause further chlorosis of the leaves.

Yeah I agree PH'd water for 5-7 days. The damage doesn't look awful so should uncurl and flatten out in next week.

Remember soil holds on to nutrients and it can quickly build build up.

Took some updated pics this morning
Last pic looks pretty good. You could back off saturating the whole pot for the next week or so imo. I like to water the width of the plant. Sometimes more but not often. Once the leaves get to the edge of the pot then I start with runoff after every water.(watering the whole pot real good with 15-20% runoff). Do you have any intrest on topping that plant or do you just want it to grow itself out normally?

I am brand new to growing and this is the furthest I’ve gotten with plants so I thought about either LST, topping, or both. As a newb I just don’t want to stress them out too much. I also don’t want to to either of them wrong! Lol

What are thoughts on the second to last pic? That’s the one I’m worried about.

As long as you have the plant in a good healthy environment you shouldn't have to worry about stressing it out. If you were to top, now or within the next week or so would be prime. You could wait later too. It's all up to you man.

I definitely want to train it so I can make the best use of the space. I too just above that 5th node correct? That new new growth that’s coming out?

Maybe a little too much N right now for it. Pot looks pretty saturated too with the foliage spay could be making it droop too. The first week I'll spray the underneath leaves everyday. Drop it to 3 times a week after. Two times a week after that, etc.. till im no longer spraying about two weeks into flowering. Sometimes i wont spray at all unless the plant looks like its lacking on mag etc..

Looking at it, I marked where I'd cut it. You could go lower if you wanted, depends on what kind of space you're dealing with. Once you top it, pull the bitch down with some garden ties or something along those lines. What you're doing is confusing the plant and help boost your other growth up so you don't have just one main cola but rather 6,12,24,36.. decent sized colas.

Thanks for all the advice. I’ll top her today and see what we get! That other one I might just let it grow naturally given the N tox issue and she struggled in the beginning.

You got an "activated" batch of happy frog. She will grow out of it but its going to take awhile. Where im at the happy frog has been very inconsistant. The OF has been fine but some hotter then others as expected. Back off the water if possible. Soon as she drys out real good two times she will blow up .....

Sweet I’ll do that thanks. I’ve had my lights dimmed as well so they may be getting cranked up to 100% too. I’ll keep the thread updated!

Would pipe cleaners work for tying down? Thinking they won’t damage to plant.
