is this root rot?

I’ve seen that exact thing before on clones that I forgot about and never rooted.
It was just a load of mouldy jiffy’s and cuts that had the same brown dead growth in the newest leafs.
100% root rot/mould issues.

I have seen the same in clones, but I think is not the same. One of the symptoms of the root rot is when they down the neck. Always when the infection is strong they bend the neck in my opinion.

See my cuts attached. They came to the affected plant. The top leaves are affected by boron but new sprouts seems good

I started in NFT rails and I left them because I was unable to reduce the reservoir temps without a chiller and there was no way I was running a reef chiller for some pot in California where my electric bill is insane. So I'm guessing it is root issues r/t to high heat and fugitive peroxide. But if it's Boron let me know how you fix it or find what fixes it. I'm curious!

My reservoir temperature it's around 80F in the DWC

In my hydro tower I run it with more temperature without problems, but the aeration in DWC is worst

I ran a 28c in dwc no problem just use some trichoderma

Temperature is a catalyst. So at 80+ your bacterial, fungal, viral and algal populations are proliferating fast. Chlorine is a plant a nutrient and why I used Bleach (in the form of Calcium Hypochlorite -- Ca is also a nutrient) in my recirculating reservoir) as opposed to Sodium Hypochlorite (which is a competitor). You can buy Pool Shock (Cal Hypo) at any pool store. That's my experience and what worked for me in the Mojave Desert where I would run up to 105 canopy temperatures and still make it to harvest. Although at times it was a struggle. I use Great White with my Coco and went to Coco because of my extreme temps here. The Great White works well for me as an adjunct although I still run a clean reservoir

@amneziaHaze has experience I don't; DWC. For me running less than aseptic in NFT caused blocking of my sprayers. So I'd say their way is worth a try every bit as much as mine. Essentially you'll learn what works for you in your environment. This is how we all learn, trial and error and we all kill our fair share of plants along the way LOL

So enjoy the journey and choose your solution and then look for the plant to grade your performance (most of my plants graded harshly LOL). Best of luck whatever you choose and I hope you can get this sorted. I look forward to seeing your plants thrive.

Normal tap water but europe.cheap version of great white... bactorr or something like that.you can find it in my diaries a pavk is 5$ lasts a few grows

I can buy great white shark from an online grow. I don't know if it's spam post the name of a shop.

Maybe I will try bactorr, but next year. Now the winter is coming and the problems with temps will be over

This is my first time with DWC, but maybe I can try with a sort of aeroponic similar to Dewey mister that I have designed and 3D printed. Attached image of this

Hello fellas I have news. Bad news and questions.

I am cloning with an aeroponic like device similar to Dewey mister and I was adding 1ml/L of 12% H2O2.

Two days ago I get a rooting cut and put in the hydrotower, with 60% strength Lucas Formula and 2ml/L of H2O2. Double dose.

The attached photos are two days separated

It's a H2O2 burn? Or seems like root root?
I don't know. But I lost another plant same day in the tower, and other get bad in the same day. I don't know if the tower it's contaminated or I kill all with the H2O2. Dose seems not high! It's around 0.025% H2O2

With the DWC I have news too.
Yesterday I was touching the cords-like roots and I don't like what feeling with my touch. Roots smell good and fresh but I don't like how feel and with the fingers I cleaned the root mass.

I have seen that was my fault leaving a lot of time the plant in the tower, and Root cords getting bigger and stuck and the center getting brown -orange colour, that you can see in the photo. These brown parts don't smell bad. Smell like roots. So I don't know if it's root rot. What do you think?

I expect new free healthy roots in the future
