YOu deff missed bro. its just taking all the new growth from in between the top nodes. it just replaces the one central stalk with 2 and some times 4. Mine are in the dark right now or i would post new pics. you may be able to see in my grow album in my profile. i have some that i topped all the same way and some sprouted 2 and some 4. an i always take the top tippity top of the new growth. i do the 5 or 6th node and all branches below and every branch there after to get a bushy budsy plant. ill show you tomorrow when the sun comes up.

I dont quite understand... you constantly top the plants? doesnt that stunt development?

It depends mine recover almost immediately. I top every branch after it shows the first set of leaves so i get 4 branches at every node. Love it. been doing it for years. Ill post good pics in the morn for sure.

im certainly sticking with topping. i can get great results by topping above second node or third up to the 5th node and then topping each branch that grows tall. it ends up with a shit ton of 'tops' and then i just strip all growth from the bottom.

Pic 2 is an un topped plant only the brances have been topped. its a bit leggy but it will be ok. In pick three i toped about two weeks ago and she split into 2 tops then aobut 4 days ago 2 more smaller shoots came out of the same node. making 4 tops. the other side did the same thing giving me 8 total tops. Picture 8 is of a toped branch that has recovered with 2 branches. pic 5 is of 3 completely toped plants in one pot. im about to seperate them now. All these were topped the same way. the very newist growth on the tops of the central stem or the branches and some grew 4 tops and some just 2. so if you ask me there is just one topping method and 2 results. hope this helps a little.

thank you, no one really has good pictures seeing those new shoots looks great. you should make a FIMming thread and post your pics im sure many people want to see the result, not just the how-to
