issues with Heavy 16?

So i have a RDWC system 12 bucket + res, i have a 1hp outdoor chiller, and 200watt air pump pumping to all 12 buckets with air stones, currently running 60 gallons through system, i am new to the grow this is my first, so i went to my local hydro store (i wont mention which on) and was recommended the Veg A and B by Heavy 16, along with some hydroguard and some calmag.

started out with doing 1/2 strength, and a couple days into it started getting funny smells and brown buildup, got rid of hydroguard and ended going with h202, worked great, cleaned everything out etc etc.

so now i am at week 3 in veg, everything started kinda going south for the plants, showing heavy K deficiency, worse in some plants. started looking at K supplements etc and went to a different grow store, talked to the guy, explained to him my situation and what i have been using etc. RIGHT off the bat he was like, do you use airstones? yes. Thats your problem, you are using heavy 16 veg which will NOT work with air stones, he said it knocks the nutrients out of solution because of (i forgot why) and to use a different nutrient system.

ended just going with the safe and simple GH system.

so i suppose my question is why and/or what is in Heavy 16 that makes it not work with air stones (i confirmed on their website that it definitely says do not use with airstones, it does not explain why)

kinda sucks that i have been at this for 3 weeks fighting a battle that was really a futile effort :/ thanks for the info ahead of time guys'

I've been using heavy 16 in low dose in my bubble cloner I made with air stones and have had no issues with brown sludge roots grew great but mines on a much smaller scale I think mine only holds a gallon of water so way less nutes in the solution on my end sorry I don't have an answer as to why that's doing that but wish you the best and good luck
