It has been 7 days drying

My buds are feeling slightly crisp on the outside, but my hygrometers are saying the RH is 75-84% in my drying area. I just threw the buds into jars right now to redistribute the moisture, but this RH is really throwing me for a loop. I have never had to dry anything for longer than 4 days, and now with this batch I'm a little concerned.

Is it possible that my buds are ready to jar? The humidity has just been so high last couple of weeks due to the weather, just wondering if the buds are ready to jar, and the surrounding air is just too high in moisture for my meters to be accurate in regards to bud moisture.

Would it be advisable to put a dehumidifier in my room and set it at 65% and run it for a day? I would leave my jars open and my meters laying out so that I'll have that steady percent RH when I put the buds back in the jar?

45-55% RH. Leave them in your jar, but make sure you burp them. If its too moist still, leave the jar open for an hour will air flow moving around. The slower you dry the better.

45-50% is too low an RH to cure anything. The whole idea is to slowly drag the moisture out. Cure zone is

Ed Rosenthal's Marijuanna grower's handbook says buds continue to cure when they are kept at about 60 - 70oF with himudity of 50%. Blah blah blah... reading down the page..... It is important to regulate the humidity so it stays between 45-55%. Excessive humidity promotes mold, and insufficient humidity - 40% or lower - promotes drying and stops the curing process.

I've completed 3 harvests following his way.

Thank you, ED ROSENTHAL.

First off, I would like to congratulate you on either spending $30 dollars and/or stealing a useless book about growing. I bet it has made for some very interesting talking points during your pathetic schwag parties. I however, do not believe everything that is written in a book/or on the internet to be as fact. I understand though. Please cite the "knowledge" of Rosenthal when it comes to curing buds. I would enjoy a good joke atm.

Anything less than 55% is asking for a quick dried and harsh smoking experience. I say that, because I have tested it myself found it to be true. But, Rosenthal disagrees, so I must be wrong.

Ido not mean any disrespect, but, if you want to quote a grower's bible, you could at least have the commom courtesy to use any one of Jorge's. At least he has been around a bit longer than 20 years, and actually has some decent info to help us gleam when it comes to growing for a living.

All posturing and "look at my shit" posting aside, to the OP:

That's pretty high RH man. It's going to slow things down. It's no different than anything else, really. If you get out of a pool and it's raining, it's going to take you a lot longer to dry off, yes?

I wouldn't sweat it too much. I would just give it another couple days and see how it goes. A couple extra days isn't going to hurt a thing. In fact, it's highly likely it'll only help.
