Yesterday Obama said If you make less then $200,000. you should be OK! The number has moved from $250,000. So more people can get robbed by the government under Obamas plan! Biden just said $150,000. should be good! But we know how stupid the things he says are! Pay attention potheads :bigjoint: Obama is full of lies! Its impossible to finance a trillion dollars in new spending as Obama plans, without everyone that pays taxes getting screwed. :wall: He is going to try and change the Constitution too if possible because he thinks its deeply flawed and is just A Charter Of Negative Libertys. Thats in his own words! WE dont need that type of disrespect for our country from someone who wants to be President! The new President will get to pick at least one or two new Supreme Court Justices. Obama has changed his mind whenever its convienient. Thats what change is to Obama! Wake up and smell the coffee pothead :leaf: Obama lovers! Its a important vote this time! Make the right decision for USA! Say no to Income Redistribution, Socialism! and attacks on The Constitution! Say No to Obama! :fire:

The facts are facts.. the richest 5% of our country pay 53% of all collected taxes, the richest 10% pay 64% of all collected taxes, the richest 50% pay 96% of all taxes.. when the hell is enough enough? Yeah, keep taking money forcefully from those that have it and giving it to welfare programs- keep giving tax breaks to the people who don't even really pay taxes to begin with.. boy, this is sounding awfully familiar- I think it was called SOCIALISM. You think at some point those with money are going to get sick of taking care of everyone else and finally just leave?

Have you actually looked at all the programs he's proposing? We are already over 10 trillion dollars in DEBT.. where the hell is all the billions and billions of dollars his programs call for going to come from?! :wall:

  1. Before Reagan, the rich paid way more income taxes, if you can believe that.
  2. State, not Federal government, pays for most welfare programs.
  3. McCain would incur even more debt in the form of tax cuts.
  4. Ah screw it, you're not going to listen to a word I say anyway

There was that argument with anotherchance, but he's not a socialist, just confused about what currency is.

I haven't seen any socialists around here, or at least none of the "From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs" types. I imagine if any were here, they'd get scared off pretty quick.

As I understand it, socialism refers to "a broad set of economic theories of social organization advocating state or collective ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods, and the creation of an egalitarian society." That's the textbook definition, and neither I nor Obama has advocated nationalizing the means of production in the US.

Text Book definition... who'd have thought you'd have the audacity to hope that something like that could possibly prove that Obama is not a socialist.

Maybe, you're right, maybe it's insulting to socialists to call Obama one of them, but then again, it's not.

Everything Obama is doing draws parallel to what happened in Socialist nations. Stratification of the classes that meant that only those that became the party "elite" were rich, and that only party members were middle class.

His idea of taxing income more doesn't do anything to really redistribute wealth, so maybe he's not a socialist. But what they do do is make it a lot harder for some one in the middle to reach the top.

So maybe he's just an elitist jack ass.

The point is you've been calling Obama a socialist and when someone trots out the "real" meaning of the word you resort to argumentum ad hominum and call obama a "jack ass."

When a blowhard gets cornered they never admit they're wrong. They just make more misinformed statements.

Socialism is when you tax a big corporation, and then give people a 3200$ a year check to buy their vote...
