an hour is relative depending on your climate. if you live in a good climate for outdoor growing, then you may not need to tend to the plant but a few times a month. if where you live is hot and dry, then your plant could need constant watering, this would require more trips out and an hour will feel longer and longer each time.
is this property on public land or private property, both have disadvantages, but private property can be traversed by land owners, or lead to someones arrest, while public property can be subject to logging or hikers. check for signs of people and traffic, trash, trails, spray painted trees or trees with ribbons tied to them.
a water source is great, it makes the job easier and usually has minerals and benificial life. you can even rig up a water system for watering plants when your away, be creative you can use a pump and a car battery to fill a 55 gal drum that is elevated, hose runs out the bottom and splits into small tubing that runs to the base of each plant with slow drip nozzels, or something like that.
guerilla growing is all about stealth, never let anyone see you going out there. plant your plants in hard to reach areas like in thorn bushes, around wasp nest, in deep poison ivy, heavily infested mosquito areas, or around skunk dens. places most people would avoid.

grow plants in small gardens, plant one or two plants in many different locations, it will be harder for people to spot your gardens and if one spot is discovered there are still more left (though extra caution should be taken at this point)
avoid making a path to your plants, take a different way each time. sprinkle some water behind you to encourage trampled vegitation to grow back
make sure you pay attention to the position of the sun and where it will be in fall before you pick your garden locations
this is one instance where slow release fertilizer is useful in cannabis cultivation. most people avoid slow release in there gardens because it limits your ability to change your plants diet, and flush your plant, but for guerilla growing it can be benefitial. some growers who live in good climates for cannabis, plant in remote locations on mountainsides or in woods, they use slow release fertilizers when they plant a small plant, then do not return until harvest time.
though it can be legally risky to move small plants, it is a good idea to start plants indoors, let small clones or seedlings establish a root system in a deep starter tray before transplanting to there final location, once plants are well rooted they are more likely to survive with less care
