I have a plant that seems pretty healthy.. to me anyways, as it being my first grow. I topped her the first day i seen preflowers, and she now has 4 main leave sets at the top, instead of 1.. some how i did something wrong lol, but it's pretty.

Anyways.. I went to go water her today and noticed a ton of tiny ants making a colony right next to my plant. like no joke right next to the stem. Should i leave these lil bastards, or drown em in some water mixed with hydrogen peroxide.

or any ideas? are they fine?
The picture is of 2 weeks ago, it has since been topped and didn't mind it at all, it actually seemed to speed up the growing process, unless that's because it showed sex?
Thanks!

you dont want them to colinize under your plant no telling what that would do but its not likely to be a good thing

Dont use hydrogen peroxide if your growing organically it destroys all the good soil microbes that makes nutrients availble to your plants. A lot of times ants are good as long as they arent eating the roots they actually dig through and aerate the soil making oxygen more available to the plant.

alright... i see.
also, my plant has been producing 7 bladed leaves for a few months now, and just recently 2 weeks ago it's ONLY been forming 2,3,4,5, and no 7's. it's odd, even the top!
does anyone know? to go along with that, I live in a very hot climate and i've seen many preflowers on my plant since it has been monsoon season and very cloudy, but then it got hot, and all the preflowers look like a burnt red? :O

I had a plant do the weird leaf thing as well, and a horticulturist told me that because marijuana has been hybridized so much, it is prone to odd mutations. Mine had gone so far as to putting on only one leaf at a time. That was about two months ago when we were getting very strong winds. Since winds have died down, plant is back to producing normal leaves, and Woohoo!! she is a beaut.
