i just installed my 400w mh/hps cooltube light fixture in my 4x2x4 box lined with flat white paint and when i turned the bitch on i felt like it was a "God-box" the way it was shining

dude i hope you know what your doing with a 400w in that small of a space.... uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh whats the lumens per square foot? LOL

ahahahahahaha but that is alot of heat for small area hope you vent well........other than that awesome.........but I figure you have it covered .........

dude even if he vents it, when the lumens per square foot reaches a certain point, the highly intense light bleaches the chlorophyll from the plant.... now if you go back to 5th grade, what does chlorophyll do for a plant?

personally just guess at size I would go 150 but thats a rough guess for being stoned right now.

Looks a bit extreme. Once its full of plant it might get very hot in there. Listen to Verde on lumens per square feet.

that box looks more like 4 hi 2 wide and 11/2 deep,, going to b about 30,000 lumens a foot lol, i reckon you going bleach them to hell, put plenty of sun block on

pretty sure somethin like 4500 lumens per sqare for metal halide and 5125 lumens for hps....could be totally wrong tho

why would my house burn down...the temps are in low 70s inside the box..i have good venting and the lights in a cooltube

Don't ignore the fact that the more plant in the box the hotter it will become, and don't forget it's kinda still not even quite spring yet, not sure where you live but i know it's gonna heat up a hell of a lot between now and august.
