so i am having some trouble cloning. ive successfully cloned like 6 or 7 clones from my almost 3 month old mothers, but have lost a lot of clones on the way... a lot. i just threw like 5 more away because they just hadnt done anything by day 15, while one of the 5 had taken off within the first 7 or 8 days and has been vegging for a while now. when i took the clones out of their rockwool, there was no roots showing, and they stems had gotten soft and mushy. does this mean that i was using too much water? i would take this as a sign of too much moisture in the rockwool cubes.

im just about there too.. i see no roots yet (12 days) but there is a bulge of something going on, my leaves are yellowing too.. i cut mine from the bottom though and i have read that it may take longer, who knows

what kind of cloning gel are you using?

are you being sterile with your tools?

is the water filtered? you could have some bacteria in your water?

i would try adding hygrozyme to your water

i had that same problem..... in desperation i built a cloner to solve it!
every one told me the cubes were too moist if that wuz happenin.
and Kingb..... i had that prob too, but in my cloner, probly got too much nutz and don't need to stretch and seek for nutz, use just water for there feed, then they'll start to seek fertz... roots.

here's the cloner... https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/118234-my-dyi-80-site-aero.html

i am using rooting powder, and all tools have been cleaned with alcohol. i know my technique does work because like i said, i have rooted seven clones. i could possibly see that my downfall was using too much water, the mush roots looked as if this is the case. i use ph'd water with a little h2o2 in it. i use root scaritation method, and a cloning dome. can anyone see any reasons it doesnt work that well? also, in your aerocloners, what do you put in the water solution?

Dear Cannabillion,
There are a couple different things that could be stunting the growth, as you said you could be overwatering. Also, the cubes could need warmth, optimal temperature for developing roots in rockwool cubes is 78-80. The last thing i can think of is to avoid squeezing the cubes because it destroys oxygen pockets.

then it's most likly too much water....
i use Growzyme, works wonders, i also soak the clones for a few hour in KLN rooting horomone before i trim them up

Are you making sure to cut at a clean 45 degree angle? I like to cut a few light slashes up the stem a little way to give it more areas to root from before I dip it in my rooting powder.
