just wondering

im new to growing, but most people on here will prolly tell you that most of the soil from lowes and home depot arent really that good for growing marijuana because brands like miracle grow already have nutes mixed in...which i guess sometimes can result in nute burn which is no good......if you do have to rely on home depot or lowes for soil....i was told get something organic with now premixed nutes .....i went with scotts hyponex potting soil....its got perlite already mixed in with it....but as i found out it needs alot more than what it comes with so you might wanna pick up some of that too.....but like i said im a new grower ....so lets see what other people think ya should do .....i tried to help a lil tho ;)

Although people have said bad things about miracle grow, I have used it with no problems, as long as you don't feed at all for a few weeks. This comes in handy for newbies, as well as those that have less time to dedicate to their gardens.
I have used the MG organic formula, and found that I needed to use compost tea to get it going.

If this is a first grow or two, go ahead and buy something that will be easy for you to maintain.
Then, while this grow is occurring before you, do as much reading as you can on ONE method that you may prefer.
(soil, coco, hydro; micro, mini, small, medium or large plants;etc. etc. ) I'm assuming you will use soil, as that was the topic..

Which brings us to what is your space like, and what are your goals?
what are you using for lighting? Ventilation? Odor control? Is this stealth, or can you be loose with your setup?
Do you have beans of good quality or are you gonna do a bagseed run for a trial?

Just some things to think on and may be helpful to anyone trying to help out.
