Shame to know too, as I was gonna grow this strain next. Although you say the others look good. Pictures really would be great (plus a smoke report on the low trich pheno when she's ready - you never know, it might more sat dom towards the trainwreck side of things and only just started producing - how thin are the leaves compared to other ones?)

This isn't a thread I wanted to find tonight!! I have a Kandy Kush 2 weeks in and she is looking like absolute shit!!! The last Kandy Kush I girl I grew out was decent, I would say B grade herb. She was definitely frosty as hell though, and the flavor was trainwreck-dominant. I hope I don't have this crap pheno, the strain already isn't very impressive to begin with...

Sad to hear all this. I was really let down with some Kosher Kush - entire pack went hermie after not having been stressed at all (no problems whatsoever with the sugar punch in the same environment). Did a load of research after that - as I really want a decent Cali kush flavour for when GTA5 is released - and had decided on the Kandy Kush, then I see this. It's even worse for you as yours are already on the go. I really can't justify giving DNA/Reserva any more of my money.

Guess I'd better start looking at Cali Connection strains.

Crappy pheno is my guess. I just had my worse plant ever and it was the the almighty Amneisa Haze from Soma. Looked fantastic. Proper grow and cure. No buzz. No taste. I had high expectations and couldnt get that next batch of clones in the garbage fast enough. That being said it was only one seed from a pack and this is no knock on Soma. I usually only pop one or two seeds from a pack due to plant count and space.

I used to be a big fan of both DNA and Reserva Privada. I am getting more and more skeptical about DNA but I absolutely refuse to spend a penny with Reserva Privada. The strains I have grown from them recently have been SHIT. Not just not good, but absolute SHIT the past 2 years.

The OG 18 I grew out was completely devoid of trichs as well. Nothing on it, just green leaves with really wispy hairy buds that smelled like old soured laundry. The Confidential Cheese had trichs but it was still shitty bud, IMO.

Well shit, if it isn't pre-98' bubba...then stay the fuck away. And that youtube vid, zero trichomes on those.

Cali Connect doesn't do anything special. If you have the clones the work is already done for you. Nothing is bigger or better than the Dutch scene. It could be just as good but not better.

Any updates? I have a young KK and this doesn't sound good. She took off well and had a nice smell at 2 weeks. Since then the smell hasn't gotten stronger and she seems to want to grow thick stems up high on the plant. Maybe make rope or clothing out of this plant?

I've had the complete opposite experience...I've been running DNA genetics for 4 years now, the only hitches their genes have given me are the OG 18, Kosher Kush, and Holy Grail Kush. The "hitches" weren't hermie traits though, some of the seedlings simply runted out (Probably about 50% of them). The other 50% of those strains, though, were all some of the finest kush I've ever had.

On another note, I've grown about 10 other strains from them. Cataract Kush and Lemon OG Kush are probably my two favorite. Never had a single problem with any of their strains other than those 3 "delicate" kush strains I mentioned.

When I grew out some Cali Connection seeds (Chem3Og), it was laughable. How anybody could call what they sent me chem, or og, in any manner, is a complete abomination.

Here is some lemon og kush I'm smoking on now, compliments of DNA. Solid yield, and tastes like fresh limes. No complaints here...

Is she flowering? I had 3 go hermie in perfect conditions. Just culled one from my veg room.

Have you been growing from seed the whole time? Have the same strains had consistency over the years?

I feel like I might try the Kandy Kush, see for myself. Need to decide in the next couple of weeks though. You are the second person to testify to the Cataract Kush, she sounds too stoney for me though. How would you report her effects? Is the Lemon Og less stoney and more of a high?

Trichs don't mean a thing.. (well)..

I've had 'leaf' from some plants, that lay you down much better than some glittery buds.. It's part 'magic'.

It's nice to see trichomes.. although if you don't, I wouldn't sweat it.. the plant is flowering.. it will be fine..

Let it grow, harvest and cure and enjoy.. you will be looking back in months laughing at the fact you almost cut it down.
