Keepin it Fresh.

So I've got a jar. It is accumulating buds for each sack I get until 4/20. Obviously the bud will start to get dry. I decided to get a wet cotton ball and put it in a shot glass and put that in the jar with the cannabis. After about 2 days I checked the jar and the cotton ball was soaked so I took it out. The buds also felt extremely moist, almost spongey. Is this a problem. Can continue using this method but with less water? Any other suggestions for keepin it fresh.:weed:

i don't know that i would keep doing that....your probably flirting with mold, I've kept bud in jars for a long time and never had it get "too dry". I've heard the best way to remoisen it is to put a fresh leaf in the jar (shouldn't affect taste) but only for short periods of time:-P

ewwww never add a lotof water for long term storage. a few drops maybe to revive a really dried bud but like naimad said....put a leaf in there or just keep it sealed if you are truly holding it for 4/20....should just be able to pop it open real quick to add new stuff and then if its dry on 4/20...add a couple drops of water to the jar......but go easy and be patient....you have obviously learned what too much water will do.

Yo! Bud!

LEAVE the water out!

You DRY and CURE bud to remove the water, you don't want to add any more

Just keep them in the jar, they will be fine.. I have had weed in jars for months alone.. they are fine & with the extra cure end up smoking way smoother.

JARS will keep them good, plastic baggies will let it get BONE DRY

by adding water, your risking mold, which by smoking could lead to a lung infection

I put a tiny peice of orange peel in with my weed and it gives it the perfect ammount of moisture i found, not to mention the added little orange aroma.

Ya the orange peel has been the only method I use. I usually put in a peice about the size of half a penny for a quarter ounce. Seems to keep it at that perfectly fresh consistancy and smoke.

Orange peels for the win. Even when the green is uber dry. Just toss in a couple orange peels (don't have to be big pieces) and within 24hours you should notice a HUGE difference. Props to my buddy Schar for originally passing this on to me! w00t!

Yeah orange peels in my opinion! My local smoke shop actually sells humidifiers about the size of a nickel and damn do they work perfect! I drop 1 in a Oz/Q glass jar and I have never had any problems with buds drying out!

Happy smoking, Its getting closer to 4/20 :)
