keeping a pc growbox temps up

my pc growbox will be in my bedroom which is inadvertently in the basement which gets pretty chilly. right now i'll be using 3 CFL lights around 25watt. if the temp is too low will putting more lights in it increase the temp w/o negatively affecting the plant? would there be any other alternative to getting the heat up while maintaining the stealtheness of it. (don't wanna turn up the thermostat in the house too much to raise suspicion)

thought it might help to add that the normal temp in the room is around 72f

idk what to tell you maybe a heater in your room or eve going into a fan
i have one from walmart thats only 13$ but its kinda loud
i have the opposite problem of you haha not many people have to cold of a grow space

Depending on who you read/believe the optimum temperature inside the growbox should be somewhere between 70F and 85F, though there seems to be as many recommendations for the optimum grow temperature as there are growers. If your room is at 72F then it's likely that the inside of the box is already well within this range, if not higher.

If temp inside the box is too low look into a cheap fan speed controller that will reduce the airflow through the box to get it within the range that you want. You'll have to tweak the cheap ones manually to find the right speed. If you want to spend a little money you can get a fan controller than will automatically adjust fan speed to keep the inside temperature within the range you want. Try coolerguys(dot)com or another PC overclocking supplier for fan controllers. I'd be wary of adding another light as it will likely raise temperatures inside the box too much.

you will be having heat issues if your temps get above what they are now in the room, in a PC case the temps will rise 20-30 degrees if you don't vent it with a fan...and even then you will struggle to keep it only 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the room...checkout my server case grow...it was a beast, but temps were a bitch...i needed more ventilation...
