Keeping a plant vegetating for months with low light?

Hello, so I just germinated a congo by ACE seeds that I was planning to grow in my girlfriend's backyard and now it wont be possible. I grow in my balcony and I dont want to invest on a lamp. Problem is I DO NOT get direct sunlight from April to August. Still, a photoperiod plant could only begin to flower in September the earliest.

So the question is, can I keep it alive and healthy just with indirect sunlight? What I mean is that the ray of light will not enter the balcony until mid August.

My guess is yes and only its growth will be slow until the sun hits it in August. Right?

Any recommendation such as not using fert or keeping it at minimum or something?

If you don’t meet min light requirements it will not be healthy, it’s growing or it’s dying depending on the amount of light. So you want just enough light to grow a little.

You will need to place it under a grow light, led or t5s, at least 100 watts to keep it chugging along. keep it at 18/6 until you want to flower it. Before you flower you will need to repot and possibly trim the roots, then give it a couple of weeks to recover.

You can always take cuttings and grow clones under 23w 6500k CFLs. You can do this continually until you're ready.

For how long can I keep clones like that?
You can clone after clone after clone. Just grow one until you have 6 to 8 pairs of nodes, take a few cuttings, and root them. Once they've got some roots going, and they're starting to grow, toss the one you got the cuttings from. Once the little ones are getting a few sets of nodes, and are outgrowing their little space, keep the best one and toss the rest. Repeat.

He said he doesn't wanna buy a light, what makes you think he wants to buy a bunch of shit AND lights to keep clones healthy?

Don’t do it. I just put 2 mothers I had under cfls into flower. I had to cut off damn near 60% of the plant. A lot of stringy bs that couldn’t even hold itself up. I made a shit ton of clones tho.

I would give it a go, you have nothing to lose
You need a cheap bag of soil, perlite and seaweed meal, I would use 5ltr pots

Would be happy to help you.

Small plants in veg don't need much light, indirect light could give off more Lums than a t5 depending on where you live.

What's the night temps?
