Kelp extract in Res vs Foliar Feeding

Hey everyone I just had a question.

After contemplating true aeroponics and realizing how hard it would be I opted for another DWC grow

I've put kelp extract in the res before but can I get the same results using GH nutes + silicon + humic acid in the res and then foliar feed with just kelp rather than to mix it in the soup?

I just don't like the stains and idea of mixing organic material into the res...

So what is the question?

I will say in my experience organic compounds tend to break down in systems that are aerated thus causing PH fluctuations.

is the kelp water soluble? If so, you've got nothing to worry about (apart from the stains?)

Choice is yours. both will work. I've run seaweed extracts in the res without problems. Have also foliar fed without problems. I don't like to foliar feed indoors, though. too many fans and lights.
