Killing aspergillus spores

Does anyone know how to kill aspergillus spores during or after curing so that a person with a suppressed immune system can smoke up? Has anyone smoked while they have had their immune system suppressed from transplant, cancer, etc.? What were the effects? Are there better ways than others to toke up when having this type of issue? Please give me some advice. Thanks in advance!!

I have Crohns and was on Immuran for a while. Aside from the obvious harmful effects of inhaling burning materials I was not adversely affected by 'smoking up' at any time while my immune system was being purposefully suppressed, nor has it been a problem since.

I'd advise using a Volcano (or whatever handy vaporizer you might have), it would address your concerns directly as you don't actually burn any of the plant material, just warm it enough to release the happy vapors :)

Thanks Marie Jain for your advice on the aspergillus spores. I know I sound like a total newbie but what is a volcano? I've never heard of that. All I know about is joints, bongs, and pipes. Can you elaborate?

Sure, do a search on this site or Google on vaporizers. It's the green way to smoke your green :D

It works by heating the pot in a small chamber so that all of the resin sacks 'n trichomes are released into a vapor - which is then either collected into a balloon or inhaled using some kind of mouthpiece. Nothing is burned though, so no carbon or tars or the bad things that inhaling burning things does for your health.

A Volcano is a name brand vaporizer that uses balloons instead of plastic tubes as a mouthpiece, which is why I like it better. Less plastic taste, more weed taste - makes me a happy girl. There are expensive and inexpensive versions all over the place.

Your best bet is to try a friend's out before you buy so you have an idea of what kind of vaporizer you like to use. I hate to see people buy things they dont' like.

Another thought on this vap thing. I smoke my weed through it which seems to release most but not all of the thc on the pot inside the chamber. What is left is reeeeally dry but seems to still get you stoned. So I smoke my pot, then I turn what is left into a container for a lightweight friend of mine. She rolls joints with it and is super happy about the arrangement. It gets her stoned but still lets her function which works out for her as she is the ultimate one-hit wonder girl with my regular smoke.

We call it pot light :D
