Killing fungus gnats in Germany

I moved to Germany and I am growing a personal supply when I noticed I have gnats. This is my first time ever having these little buggers and like normal they are pissing me off. I have yellow stickers up that are catching some of the adults but the larvae are still there. I get about 2-3 adults flying around each day. I grow in coco and my method is smaller pots with lots of watering so these buggers are .... grrr

My question is how do I kill the larvae here in Germany? What products do people use? My german is not good enough so I have been able to find what locals use.

Cups of apple cider vinegar help kill them. The best way to kill them is to let your soil dry for a while. If that doesn't work you can try scrapping the top layer of soil off your pot or adding more soil on top. I've had gnats, but they shouldn't be a big enough problem to use any real products.

Get those pond mosquito killer pellets and put them in your water. It does not effect the plants and kills the larvae. Also a layer of sand or diatomaceous earth on the top of the grow medium kills the larvae by cutting them to peices and prevents the adults from getting to the soil.

You may use sprays which you can buy in any shop. GL.

Funny... In Germany they call gnats "sorrow mosquitos"

I use a product called Gnatroll which is added to your mix and sets up beneficial microbes that eat the larvae, and it's available on Amazon. They don't like dry soil, so keep that in mind, as if the soil is moist the larvae will attack your stem just below the surface. Some people say they are harmless, but I have lost young plants to them. Sticky traps are essential also, but once you got em, it's a bitch to get rid of them. I got mine thru infected soil years ago, and despite everything, still have the cocksuckers flying around. Management is basically all you can do. Good luck

I got a gnat problem myself. Been looking into gnatrol and mosq dunks. I got to do something. If left unchecked they can het out of hand and mess plants up. There attracted to moist coco coir like a magnent. And i like to hammer my coco with multiple daily feeds so its always moist. They never were a problem just a nuisance until very recently. Bought a ton of yellow stickies for hanging and pot level with stakes last night. And there are at least 3 on every card. Downstairs in the bloom rooms the cards have a shitload. Its 65+ days though and i been harvesti g the last couple of days so them ones dont matter. I did get yellow leaves early on and my yield went down slightly. Fukin bastrds. They getting dealt with to frikin day dammit.

They (fungus gnats) spit at that and laugh! Ha, stupid Humans!!!
Seriously, won't work on coir, hardly anything works unless you water LIGHTLY. They don't like dry medium at all, especially around the stalk. Water only around the perimeter of the plant (let the roots search for the water)

I've never used coir, but I've used DE on soil and hydro and soiless (vermiculite.) It's not crazy fast, but I've had 100% success within 10 days. They never return. I've also not had any since I started pre-treating the surface of the medium with DE.

Iam trying gnatrol and dunks. Id hate tk bust out the bayer fruit and citrus but i will if i have to. On my young vegging ladies.

Dte pierces the skin and exo of bugs and dries em out. I remember back in the day people mentioned this for mites and other nasties.

Only if the DE is dry. From what I understand, once it gets wet it's no longer effective on pests.

Thats why i dont use it. It may work for some. Thats not good enough for me. And try not to breathe dte "dust". Its like dry rockwool fibers or perlite dust....not good.
