Actually, if you get your hand on one seed you can take clones of the plant and you wouldn't have to worry about making seeds. The process of making seeds degrades the quality of the final product. Weed requires a male plant and a female plant to produce a seed, but only the female plant has a worthwhile amount of thc. If you can keep a female plant from getting pollenated you will get bigger buds, hence more bud in the end. Getting a seed out of a bag of smoke works fine, just make sure you try the bud before you try to grow the plant- no point in finding out after 3 months you grew something that doesn't work for you. This is only a drop in the bucket, the first step in a long process- what you will want to do is some research first to figure out what will work for you. If you put your mind to it, you can get a fully operational setup ready to go in a weekend, but you need to have a good idea of how the process works before you start. There are some great threads in the Newbie Central (not trying to offend, I know I spent a month looking over that stuff before I felt I was comfortable enough to grow a crop) and they give you a start to finish description of what needs to be done, and when. I hope this works out for you- this is a wonderful plant that has a wide variety off uses for people across all walks of life. I hope everything goes well for you, and if it doesn't, feel free to post- we'll do our best to help.
