This is my first soil grow. I've tried growing hydro twice and just can't get great results. I know it's totally me fuckin' up but I've decided to give soil a good shot.
Soil Mix - I'm using Roots Organics soil mixed with about 30% perlite in 5 gallon Home Depot "Homer Buckets".
Nutes - I'm a little short on cash right now so I'm going to continue using the nutes I used when I was growing hydro. GH Flora Series. I know it might be pretty stupid to use chemical nutes with organic soil but the guy at the hydro store where I bought the soil and perlite said it would work fine. He said to add no more than 5ml of each product in the series per gallon of water during veg and then to double the amount of the "Bloom" formula after the first 2 weeks of flowering.
Lighting - I'm using CFLs during veg. A total of 766 watts.
As the subject title says, the strain is LA Woman. I bought the seeds from Attitude Seedbank about six months ago. I kept one mother for a while and these are all clones taken from her. I have 4 flowering plants in another room that will be finished on 07/18 that I also took from the same mother. I'm not posting any pics of the flowering plants because like I said, I suck with hydro. I should get enough smoke from them to last my wife and I a month or so. We're both legal MMJ patients so I can grow a total of 12 plants with no more than 6 in flower. I have a couple friends who are getting their MMJ cards in a couple of weeks and I'll be their caregiver so I'll be able to grow double the amount of plants that I am now.
The flowering room is 88 square feet with an 8 foot ceiling. Once I harvest the flowering plants and move these new plants in there, I'll take pics of the room. For now I'm using a small corner of a bedroom for vegging these 8 ladies.
