Go and ask your local hydro shop or a doctor or whoever, i'm sure it should be pretty darn easy to find out.

The following is the policy which has been adopted for the use, possession and cultivation of marijuana within the intent of the CUA for El Dorado County:
POLICY
Outdoor Cultivation (per patient - with a physician's recommendation):

  • March 1 through July 31 of each year 20 marijuana plants
  • August 1 through October (harvest) 10 marijuana plants
Processed marijuana (per patient):

  • September 1st through February 28 Up to two (2) pounds
  • March 1st through August 31st Up to one (1) pound
Indoor Cultivation (per patient - with a physician's recommendation:
On any given day:

  • Ten (10) marijuana plants in "flower" stage
  • One (1) "mother" marijuana plant
  • Ten (10) "clones" / vegetative marijuana plants
  • No more than one (1) pound of processed marijuana
Note: Patients or care givers cultivating marijuana for an authorized patient may not maintain an outdoor cultivation and an indoor cultivation at the same time.
Physician's Recommendation:
Written physician's recommendation should include the following information:

  • Patient's name
  • Date of issue
  • Physician's name, address and phone number
  • Requires annual renewal
  • It is recommended that copies of physician's recommendations be posted at the garden site(s) and on file with law enforcement (WENET).
Primary Care Giver:
May grow for:

  • Members of care giver's household - with physician's recommendation(s).
No more than three (3) patients outside care giver's household - with physician's recommendation(s).
That is their policy. It mentions nothing about growing near schools. I would search about or ask the required person to issue you with an official copy of the law and policy. You can't be charged by state law for something that is not included in the legislation or county policy etc.

Google or pick up a telephone :)

That's incredibly helpful, man. You'd almost think you lived here.

I hope people don't think i live there, i'm just being helpful with the info around, but in a game like cannabis i'd always want to learn the answer from someone in my area, such as a hydro guy or mmj doctor, just to be sure.

I was being sarcastic. You talk when you have nothing of value to add.

The hydro guy only wants to sell you overpriced nutes and lights, and the doc only wants you to get the fuck out of his office after he's seen you. Neither one of them knows the law well enough to advise you on how close you can be to a school and grow medical cannabis. And you can't blame them because it's probably an unknown, another gray area.

Hence the use of "or whoever" ;) But yes, i'm sure you know all of the doctors and folk around where the OP lives and what they do or do not know.

So what's your suggestion? What's the value of your two posts, an insult and then just a total guesses out of thin air? You really appear to have tried to help the OP there.

If you are concerned about complying with the local laws you might want to talk to a local lawyer who specializes in the topic.

http://www.calbar.ca.gov/Public/LawyerReferralServicesLRS.aspx
The State Bar of California's website has all the information you need to find a lawyer referral service. I know it will cost bit to talk to a lawyer but good criminal defense lawyers tend to cost a lot more and it never hurts to talk to a lawyer about the state and local laws regarding medical marijuana. If you can't afford a lawyer you might try contacting an organization like NORML or MPP because I'm fairly sure they have access to lawyers experienced in California's medical marijuana laws.

That's just my opinion though.
