Have two roughneck clone tubs and sprayers are like 6 inches from top. The problem and I have read that these are the only tubs that don't leak, is they do! They leak around the edges and I have tried with limited success with strips of window stripping and still the leaks will reappear. Help?????

I had the same problem with one of mine because the the lid was warped a little. The way i got mine to work is to use the grey rubbermaid roughneck with the black top. These are great because if you flip the top upside down it fits perfectly back on with no leaks. I used sprayers all around the edges and in the middle hooked into pvc pipe and it worked great for aeroponics. Turned out to be a pretty nice grow too, had a cola the size of an air wick can!

HANDS DOWN, BULLETPROOF SOLUTION:
- take the lid off....
- flip it over....
- take some duct tape....
- make a duct tape "skirt" around the inside edge....
*so that the water drips down the tape and back into the res., like a shower curtain.
ive used this trick for every single one of my cloners , and it has never failed.
my only advice is to use 3 layers of tape for strngth and durability....

Right on clips and curtain advice. Not sure how long tape and water would work together but a good idea. Have to go with clips first. Also growing to much sometimes would mean like what you have to get rid of it yes so with that in mind since so many people say never tell anyone you grow, how would anyone ever be able to sell it?? I am just curious???

I originally got some weather stripping and coated the lid and the actual tub but it only worked occasionally. Then i went out and bought some TIE-DOWNS and wrapped it around the tub. You could just use a piece of rope and wrap it underneath and then over the top and tie it really tight so the lid squishes the weatherstripping. Mine never leaked again after doing this

OKOK done the weather strip thing. It worked for a bit. Clips, tieing it down don't function for opening and checking much so take the advice of putting the plastic bag piece over the top and folding it inside to make curtain. But do not put all the way over top, just tape it to the top side that is leaking and fold it under. This way no water gets under it next to the holes and you don't have to take your babies out with all the roots and make new holes and wala problem solved cheap and easy and functional with no future issues due to it.. Nothing works!!!? I have tried the weather strip method, and the clips, those don't do a thing. The curtain method of putting plastic over top and down into from the sides is a pain in the royal ass just try it when getting back in and out to test the water and the like. So don't know what the grey roughneck with the black tops turned upside down are but I am going crazy trying to stop this leaking shit. Any help from someone that is not just more pain and suffering would be nice....
There has to be a better way???? The grey roughneck with the black top, Quote, someone care to tell me where those are? Turning over the top to stop leaks does not sould like it will work but I have not see the black topped grey ones so help is you can. The leaking thing is really getting old!!!!
