Hi, I'm new to growing and this is my first time. I am on my 5th week of flowering and noticed leaves turning yellow too fast also some of them turning purple!.
Strain: blackjack
Had 2 400w led lights but recently switched to 1 due to symptoms of light burn
Not sure what I'm missing here any advice/help is appreciated.
Thanks.

I think a lot of what you are seeing is due to the light burn you referenced. The light burn weakened the leaves and made them more susceptible to other problems. Ive recently had the same issue with my gurl scout clone, my cobs were slow roasting my leaves, dimmed it a bit. It does look good though, and this far along in flowering is expected to have yellowing leaves. Take care

ill add to what Haze said and my first comment.
Soil is slower than hydro. That means a few things and one of those is we finish slower, this means we tend to yellow earlier in a lot of cases.

Thanks guys for the reply, haze you're probably right I didn't think the tent was big enough for both lights so they were overlapping and been on for almost 6 weeks now.
Hopefully won't effect my yield too much.

those look great! remove leaves that are no longer photosynthesizing for best results.
(ever notice the color or sticky pest strips?)

I do not like to see deficiencies that bad in flowering. I find if I keep them healthy they are always more potent and tasty and complex.

I suggest a mild leaching with fresh water and then a low ( maybe 25%-33%) balanced Grow fertilizer to be put in.

The plants look nitrogen and potassium deficient at least for stacking and ripening. I think they look good and would respond favorably with higher yield and hopefully potency.

It won't help them finish faster though. Feeding them properly tends to increase projected flower times if the breeder likes to kill them off with high pk early.

Low nitrogen and high pk is a myth.

Thanks for the reply I will do that. I also think I stopped nitrogen too soon at 3rd week, but next time around at what week should I stop giving nitrogen ?

I actually use Grow ratio all the way through. I just lower the concentration as they ripen and don't need as much.

Watch (listen) this interview with the president of dyna Grow explaining why we don't need bloom ratios.

He admits he made his bloom bottle for popular demand. Not plant needs.
