LED light or HID light for growing in a cold room?

Hey everyone, I'm planning on growing 1 plant in a 2.6 ft X 2.6 ft X 5.3 ft grow tent and I don't know what light would be better since the room the plant will be in gets kinda cold. When I woke up this morning, it was 54 degrees in there, and there's no way to vent the exhaust directly out the window in this room so the only option is to use the twin window fan that I bought and have it set to exhaust mode so that the exhausted air from the tent gets pulled outside and fresh air gets pulled into the room from under the door and any other places that it can leak in. When the fan is on exhaust mode, it can make the room even colder, but I will have an oil space heater in the room to help compensate for that. The only thing is that I don't feel comfortable leaving that heater running when I'm not home because it could possibly be a fire hazard if its left unattended for awhile. Now I've heard that LED's don't give off much heat, so I was thinking of going with a 250W HID bulb instead since everyone knows that those give off extra heat and that could keep my plant warmer inside the tent while its a little colder outside.

HID lighting will definitely add heat, but as yodaweed said, drastic changes in temperature from lights on and off is not good. The space heater is a good idea to help keep night temps from dropping off to much. Good luck.

Just buy your weed. Your going to spend all this time trying to fiddle fuck around and have a tiny grow in a whacked container and get like 1 zip of shit weed

h-p-s tried both,only thing i liked about led's is the coulours

Dude un less you are in the artic surly the indoor temps are not that cold are they,i use no heating aid during winter here.

Well that is a lie,the one i use cost a fortune shut the window during lights off open during lights on,

Just buy one or the other go with hps i think that you are prob worrying over stuff that the plant will not be bothered about,never advice some one on buying weed grow your own,you will learn has you go a long ,the more you read into things the more you will think you need to do,people want you to think growing is hard it is not,has long has you do not over complicate things keep it simple and just get some in

There is plenty of help right here

I don't think you could fit 2 600w led panels in there. A 400w hps with an econowing would take care of the cold lol. Have the light come on during the cold hours and off during the warmer hours of the day.
Yeah you can easily grow 8+ ounces in that area.

Take @J Bleezy's advice, then spend about $30 for some foam insulation with a reflective side like the DuroFoam stuff I used for my flower room walls (my flower room used to be a cold cellar and got down into the 40's) and you're set.
