Hey all,
I've been trying to figure out a way lately of getting some more light into my tiny pc growbox. I was pondering on the idea of switching from CFL to LED, but there was the cost involved. After putting a post up in the CFL forums asking for suggestions, a mate came up with the suggestion of using these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5x-10W-High-Power-IC-LED-Flood-Light-Lamp-Bulb-Chips-Warm-White-DIY-Outdoor-/380747266391?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Components_Supplies_ET&hash=item58a64e3957
The more I've been thinknig about it, the more ideal it seems. I'm pretty handy with basic electronics/soldering/etc, and I'm thinking it'd be pretty simple to just chuck a few of these into my existing CFL setup, at what looks like a very small cost. Giving me a dual cfl/led grow.
The reason I'm posting here, is that on the auction page it states pretty clearly that you need to follow the rules for these bulbs, and that you'll need to use a heatsink, so I'm wondeing if anyone here has used something similar and could perhaps gimme a bit of a heads-up on where to find the relevant info I need and how do-able the idea of chucking a few of these into my already crammed pc box would be.
Thanks all/
