LED or HPS? or maybe BOTH?

Anyone ever use LED lights with smaller hps as support lighting to flower? Is it just not worth it to use both? I like the idea of LED, but i'm a little worried that i'll lose some important color from the hps. The idea would be applied in a 4x4x6.5 area. For now i'm sticking with the hps.

I am also worried about this but not with led's but with cfl's. I use a 400w hps lights and the cfl's i have on the side seem to cancel out some of the color of the hps so does this mean cfl's cancel out the hps light?
