"Legal" Buds.

Once upon a time my area went dry.... I think we've all been through those times. I guess it was like 4 years ago or so, and I ended up ordering some legal buds online. I figured, why the fuck not? It was like $35 for an oz or a half, something like that. I figured it would be on par with some of the Mexican dirt weed out there, a mild high, something to smoke in the least. Well my friends and I went through about a quarter of that shit over the course of about an hour. Started off with a bowl, sat there for a minute, didn't feel anything, so we said fuck it, already bought it, might as well just keep smoking and smoking to see if anything happens.

Needless to say, we all just ended up with headaches. According to Erowid, some folks have had decent success with smoking Honeyweed or Wild Dagga, but generally admit to being lightweights. Either that, or they're just full of shit, and it really didn't produce the mild highs they were expressing.

So early this morning I'm on High Times' website, and I see another add for some "legal buds", but this time it's by a company named "International Oddities". I decide to check the site out, just for the hell of it. I'm in Vegas, so most of what's on the street is just crap anyway. You have to know somebody, and even then you end up paying about twice what it's actually worth (well, for a guy like me coming from California and getting top quality chronic at $10 a point, Vegas prices for Mids are fucking ridiculous), and on top of that, they want you to buy a half or an O just because they don't want you coming around all the time because they're friggen paranoid (perfectly understandable though).

Anyway, I wanted to know if anyone has taken the plunge and tried any of International Oddities products, they don't look like any of the other legal herb smokes, and they offer no information (that I can find) on what it is they're actually growing. And they won't comment on the effects of their products.

Heh, getting ready to buy some "California Original", or "California Orange Bud" seeds... Still doesn't mean I'm not curious! All other sites out there clearly label what the product is that they're selling (IE: Wild Dagga, and Honeyweed), which isn't the case for these International Oddities.

Yeah sorry about that, not contributing to your question and all. I have only ever bought salvia from places like that, and the money I spent for the effect I recieved, was not worth it to me. Good luck, hope you find some answers...

Anyway, i once bought some legal buds called "hawaiian gold" or something, and it was complete bullshit, it didnt do anything. at best i felt more sober than before.

but i've found myself in an area where i do not wish to develop connections due to certain circumstances. the shit i get (great stuff always) is a 5 hour drive, and purchasing from this location is a by product of my visit anyway. but like i said due to circumstances i dont wish to have local connections or any great amount on me, so i decided to give these "legal buds" another whirl. I was originally looking into the dagga or honeyweed until i read your post. Anyway, i think i've found something of interest: "Calea Zacatechichi (Dream Herb/Leaf of God) is a plant historically used by the Chontal Indians of Mexico to obtain divinatory messages through dreaming. Either consumed as a tea, or a cigarette was smoked before bed, bringing relaxation and fluidity to mind and body, supporting a deep sleep during which dreams of pleasure would often occur. We sell this product as incense, by law." the disclaimer makes it sound that much more tempting. im ordering some since its fuckin like 15 dollars for a half, so i will let you know how it goes.
