Legalization in GA???

Please help I am one of many cancer patients hwo would bennefit from medical Marijuana, i would love to participate and help push any kind of pettition innitiative. ive been a patient for 2 years and i knw this would hepl many people. please if anyone knows any information i am open to help. Thanks

Sorry about your health.I responded because I used to live in GEORGIA, lived there all my life up until last year. Georgia will be one of the last states to have MMJ Legislation and they have some of the toughest pot laws in the nation.

Your better off moving like I did. I moved to Colorado and got my MMJ recommendation within my first 2 months here. MOVE ! I used to grow where I lived in GA. and stayed freakin paranoid for over 3 years. If you chance growing and got busted , even with terminal Cancer...it wouldn't matter to GA. prosecutors, and you'd get little sympathy from the bible belt public backward behind the time idiots.

All the southern states are pretty much the same when it comes to MMJ. I wouldn't move to California because its too damn expensive. Washington state, Oregon , Nevada , Montana, Colorado, New Mexico , ect. Me being from Georgia myself...I love the western states.

You'll be dead before you see MMJ in Georgia, that's a lost cause. Just pick a state that has MMJ legislation and move out of Georgia. I'm telling you, there are too many bible thumping old timer old fashioned idiots at the gold domed Capitol building in Atlanta and they would fight tooth and toe nail to keep marijuana illegal with no chance of MMJ provisions and they take pride in having the strictest MMJ laws in the nation.

If your finances won't allow you to move, then build you a super stealth growing cabinet out of a big dresser with a good carbon scrubber and inline fan for odor removal, assuming you don't live in an apartment. I wouldn't grow in an apartment myself and I have a MMJ recommendation..

Sorry, but it would take an act of God to get MMJ in Georgia , those ignorant asshole politicians would probably not allow it if all the other 49 states totally legalized it.

Moving out of Georgia was the best thing I ever done, even though it cost me almost $2,000 to move! :cry:

While Medical Marijuana is still several years away in Georgia, let me point you to 1 possibilities:

and study OCGA 43-34-120 -126 which is the law for the above.

Also, join GeorgiaNORML.org and help us in Georgia with the fight.

I personally am writing a Medical Marijuana bill to be introduced into next years General Assembly if I can find a sponsor. We need to vote in people who will support our MM needs.

MM needs to be in GA, but I doubt it will come anytime soon. There was a UGA student that proposed prop 42 in late 2008, Nothing ever come of it that I know of.

I know it's completely illegal in Florida, though you can get Marinol, but that's about it. Probably the same situation in Georgia.. Sorry about your health my friend :(
