Lets bitchslap propaganda

I see so many "truth" commercials funded by prohibitionists supporting false facts and flawed statistics about pot. Why aren't there any real "truth" commercials?

Maybe something like this-

A teenage stoner sits on his couch with a bag of doritos. He turns on the news to see a fatal DUI wreck. Then he flips the channel to the next news station reporting doctors' latest findings on the deadly and addictive qualities of the highly taxed cigarette.

He switches the channel a last time to see Mexico's unwinnable "war" on drugs and the unprecedented amount of violence it's causing.

Then the scene switches to a pig locking up this teenager and taking his bag of weed, only to resell/smoke it.

Then the teenager then turns to Big Bubba the Rapist and says "damn, this felony has taken my right to vote, my right to bear arms, my freedom, my college scholarship, my anal virginity, and I'll probably never get a good job for the rest of my life."

"It is beyond me how I will EVER be able to pay my lawyer/probation/court fines since I have also lost my drivers license. I might as well start dealing weed when I get out of jail."

Then Bubba the Rapist says, "Yea and if you can slowly introduce your weed clientel to crack and meth, you'll make alot more money."


Then the screen turns black, with the white writing.
" Black markets can turn donughts into gateway drugs. Prohibition supports terrorism, please stop funding cartels and flooding our prisons with the innocent. The laws and statistics based on marijuana are enforced and created by politicians too cowardly to take a truthful stand and by people who have never smoked it. Would you take sexual advice from a virgin? Wake up people, and let your congressman know how you feel.
That's the REAL T R U T H, not PROPAGANDA funded by LOBBYISTS with SPECIAL INTERESTS like the MONEY they would LOOSE if marijuana were to become LEGAL"

Why doesn't NORML fund some commercials bitch slapping this idiotic propaganda i have to put up with every day? No wonder the shit is still illegal with all this fear mongering on TV.

I have half the mind to fund a commercial like this myself. And no local bullshit either, we need to go national primetime here people.

P.S. About a month ago on TV I saw Obama was asked about legalizing pot at a town hall meeting. He just laughed along with the audience saying he didn't think it was a good idea. I am so pissed off at this. The death being caused and freedom being taken.. The lives being ruined ... Prohibition is NO LAUGHING MATTER. FUCK YOU MR. OBAMA. Politics as usual, change my ass.

I'm all for this, though it seems many recent PSA commercials that aren't making marijuana out to be some horrible drug that will destroy your life.


Like the ones where it's simply telling you not to drive while high, more or less the message was that it's ok to smoke weed, just be responsible with it.
