Light Cycle Mishaps

So the little plastic piece in my light timer pops out and allows the light to stay on for the whole day. Being that I'm four weeks into flowering, how will this affect my overall flowering process? This is the second time the light has stayed on in excess of 14 hours. What should I expect?

Once again, thanks a million folks

YIKES...

You need to get a new timer NOW..

This can cause your plants to "go hermie"...

NOT A GOOD thing...

No worries, Mate! Like you say, a timer mishap. Happens to everyone, you'll learn from it. The worst that it will do to your plants is delay ripening for a week.

Look up Supercropping. I believe that after 5 weeks of flowering, you give them 2 days of 18 hours of light, and that supposedly causes a growth spurt that increases yield.

I heard on one of these hightime videos that they turned the lights to 14 hours of light for the last two weeks. I think Im going to try it next crop. Its gonna be hard to tell cause I get better each crop anyways. But what the hell? i'll give it a shot.

First I had a digital timer, but that was retardedly complicated. So then I bought a regular heavy-duty timer. But then the stupid plastic pieces, for whatever reason, would loosen up and allow the timer to either stay on or stay off -- until I noticed it and re-inserted them. So now I've bought a whole different timer, installed it and everything should be fine.

As for the hermie issues...these are two clones. How will I tell that they're crossing over? Any examples?

And thanks for the insight everyone. I'll keep everyone posted on my progress.

Came home from work to find my exhaust fan for my cool tubes had stopped. The lights were hot as hell. Very close call.
