light fixture customization

So I was bummed to find out the reptile cfl light fixture only holds 3 x 26 watt cfl's....My question is, how dangerous is it to put more wattage than specified? and if it is DEFINATLEY not recomended is there a way to customize the fixture so it can support more wattage? Thanks, Z

I'm pretty sure if you put more wattage through it than you're supposed to, it is going to try and draw too much current and explode stuff.
