hi folks,
i just switched PL-L lamps to 600W dual spectrum hps and 24 hours to 18 hours.

i run the hps 18 hours and 6 hours darkness.

i have homebox grow tent.but i noticed that there is very much light leaks from passive air intake /air flaps of homebox to inside of homebox for 6 hours darkness period.

is it a problem ?
i read that light leaks in flowering cycle can caused to hermie issues.

is it true for growth period as well ? if so i will run 24 hours my hps lamp.

second question;

i use only 1 fan as extractor ,i use passive air intake /air flaps of homebox.

but there are many light leaKS from air flaps to inside of homebox.
how can i use air flaps of homebox ?
or must i use an activa intake ?

thanks .

Light leaks in veg aren't a big deal.

I have all manner of little pinholes I suspect from ny ebay tent. It has not affected anything. Well, I did have one hermie, but it was a while ago and the rest of the seeds were male!

I do not worry about that. I also would, if I were you, duct tape the zipper seems. Also duct tape the side vents. Also in the intake vent put some tuning like you were going to attach a fan and just leave it. I have about 4 feet of 4 in tubing shoved through mine. So as no light leeks.

The plants just dont like a full blast of light. From what I can see pin holes here and there dont affect, also keep the room it is in dark during dark.

it isimpossible for me cuzz the room is always illumination so the tent must be 100% light proof.
