Light Mistake - Please HELP!!!!

Hi,

My plants are flowering for 5 weeks, yesterday i mistakenly flipped the timer switch from "TIMER" to "ON", and when i came back from work today i found out that light is on since 21:00 last night till 18:30 today.

needless to say i switched it off again...
what should i do now? leave it be to it's original light cycle 12/12 (in 3 hours from now) or should i give it 12 hours of dark?

will this event cause stress?

Leave it as it is, it'll be fine. Unless you are using really shitty genetics then 1 nights additional light is not going to cause it that much stress.

Was it your mistake? Or are you by any chance using a cheap timer? The cheap £5/$10 timers you get from wallmart/bnq etc, they do not do well with HPS lights, i used to have one with a 400w hps, after a while about once a week it would just flick itself over to always on and i'd have to notice it and switch it back. If this was the case with you, buy one with a contactor built in, normally only a bit more expensive.

it was purely my mistake.
the timer has 2 modes
"ON" - which is always on
"TIMER" - no need to explain :)
yesterday i went to a friend and wanted to water my plant before i left, so i switched the lights on 15 minute prior to their original time,
came back at midnight stoned as hell, forgot to switch it back :()
the rest is history

I have done this a couple times it should be fine dude. Remember in nature the Sun doesnt always come out / set at the same exact time every night/day.

Yeah after my first grow I invested in good timers. The digital ones are the best.
