light timing

When it comes time to establish a lighting cycle - what times are the best to start and stop (from a heat and electricity standpoint.) I would assume that you want to use the overnight hours - but on the other hand is there something to be said for letting them sleep when everything else does (does the moon affect them?) THanks in advance!

If your grow area is completely enclosed like a grow tent or closet you can set your light time for anytime that suits you best. If it is not and you have a chance of light coming into the room during the day I would set your light for that. If you have them on all night and light can escape thru windows where the guy next door can tell you got a light on I would not run it all night. hope that helps a little.

I like the light to be on 1 hour after I get home from work.
