I have a few questions here. I veg in a 4 by 3 foot area with a 400w MH and i want to replace it with a new LED. Also blooming in a 8 foot by 5 foot area I currently fill it half way and use a 600 hps. Now Id like to replace the HPS with one of those new Blackstar lighthouse 3w bulb LEDs. Id like to get 2 to hang in the 8X5 area. Now how many watts should each one be?? The blackstar people say I need three 500w blackstars for that area(thats 1600 dollars!!!!). Ive had decent results using a 1000w hps for that whole area theres no way I would need that much(or atleast I think). I figure two of the 240w blackstars would be good to bloom with. Anybody ever do any worth wile expirments with these??? now for the veg would I be able to pull it off with a 90w UFO?? I figure theres no buds forming so why get a fancy one. If anybody knows this stuff inside out Id appreciate some advice. The blackstar people want me to spend 3 grand to go led and there 500 3w bulb version only replaces a 600/ but the UFO people tell me a 90w UFO replaces a 400mh. Whats the deal???
