Lighting Help

Hi guys i am wondering if anyone could help me in choosing some lighting in for my tent

i am about to start a grow of 2-3 autoflowering plants and i was originally going to use a 400w hps light for the grow although i am now worried that maybe to much my tent is going to be 80x80x160 can anybody let me know if i am correct in thinking that and suggest a light that would be more suitable for this grow

400w gives you about 56w/square foot which is close to ideal. What are your plans for ventilation ?

perfect light, yes. use a cool-tube!

Cheers for the reply applejonny i was looking at a Rhino Pro Carbon Filter 100mm x 300mm with a Systemair RVK 100mm A1 Fan (175M3/HOUR) with ducting going straight out an air vent on the side of my house and i was going to use passive intake as the hot air will be going out the room so all the air in the room should be fairly cool do you think a cool tube would be necessary also could that light be used from the seedling stage all the way through the grow

sounds like a plan. definitely go with a 400w. don't know about a cooltube. I just have a normal 400w MH/HPS which works great.

ok cheers applejonny do you use as soon as the plants are in the pot its not to much for the little seedlings is it mate

yes you can use it from the beginning, but keep it far away at first so you dont burn the seedlings. Move it down closer after a couple of weeks.
