lighting OR watering confusion...you tell me

i could use some advice from a pro. this is my first grow, and i have just switched to a 10/14 cycle about 5 days ago to being the flowering stage. my beautiful little girl seems to be a sativa, though i do not know what strain. she is about 1 foot 3 inches tall, and is very bushy with many branches. there are pistils sprouting all over the place in the corners. however, i havent been keeping a steady watering schedule. the way i decide when to water is judged by sticking my finger a quarter inch into the soil and seeing how moist it is. i want to let the plant get oxygen, but also give her an adequate amount of water. i have been increasing its water as it has grown because it seems to be sucking up more and more. right now it is at about a liter or so every two days. i water it until i see the first drop come out of the bottom of my gallon sized pot.

lately, the branches on my plant appear to be drooping a bit instead of fanning out if you will. is this due to lack of/too much water, or am i just being an idiot by going 10/14 instead of the traditional 12/12? i was planning on gradually bringing it up to 12/12 at the end of the first week of flowering. i was trying to speed up flowering (even if it adversely effects the yield). could it be my girl isn't getting enough light?

BTW: i am using TWO 65watt, 3900 lumen CFL lights, and ONE 42 watt, 2700 lumen CFL light. keep in mind, there is only one plant. is it necessary for me to get more light for my girl?

thanks for taking the time to read that, much appreciated.

first of all you mean KELVIN not LUMENS for future reference. but not being consistent with water is ok, cause in nature rain isnt always constant. however light is. try giving it a litlle less water, and if that doesnt help after a couple days, go to 12/12 lighting and keep it that way.
