Lighting question for my new passion. LIKE MINDED INDIVIDUALS UNITE!

Hey everyone. I am relatively new here and it seems to be a really awesome and constructive place. This being said, Im confident that I will get valuable input regarding my lighting question.
In my 4x4x6.5-7.5 (the roof slants upward) grow room, air tight (save for 2 intakes and 1 exhaust) will a 600w HPS/MH light be optimum or could I stand to increase or decrease the amount of light. I also have a 90w CFL, a 150w HPS, and a 175w MH. The 600w is a wing reflector unit with a cooling tube around the bulb. I plan to have a separate intake and exhaust to manage the heat of the unit up at the top of the room. with a 90 cfm fan. The exhaust for the room would be 240 cfm. With good internal circulation and cooling, will heat become a problem. Air conditioning is available to me if needed.

Thanks guys, Hopefully Ill be able to repay the advice in the future!:hump:

You'll do great in that space with the light described. Use your other lighting for vegetative and clone/mother areas if you can find or create the space

You have the right idea, I'll try to point you in the right direction :)

1. Your right on with the 600 hps, make sure you get a cool tube if you want to keep the temps under control.

2. Most your heat will be in the hps hood so you will want your big exhaust fan sucking out that hot air as quick as possible!

3. All you will need is "passive" intakes. There basically open holes that suck in fresh air from the negative pressure the exhaust fan creates.

4. Have a low powered fan blowing on top of the conopy and in between the light!

5. Have a seperate aread to veg your seedlings and clones in with your cfl's at first or if you use the Mh put it far away.

If you do these things your temps will be as low as you can get them without adding extra ac to the tent. Another tip is your passive intake holes should be around double the size of your exhaust duct.

Hey man I dont have anymore things to really say, but it sounds like you got your system on lock. They 600w will be perfect for the 4x4 space.

SmeLLyTreeZ Gave you some good answers and I would follow what he sayed.

Happy growin and smokin bro

thanks guys i got the 90w cfl and the 150w hps on the seedlings right now, there about a week in soil. My exhaust fan just broke :-( so I gotta get a new one. The seedlings look promising though, you can just about see where the second set of serrated leaves are coming in, pretty excited! will keep you guys posted, thanks!!
