Lighting Question

I am setting up for a first grow and have some concerns over lighting. I was going to grow in a 2x2 space using CFL lights. After a ton of reading here I am not sure. I am not sure CFL is the best way to go. Will HTGSupply 150 watt High Pressure Sodium Grow Light handle the full 2x2 area. If so, will it produce as much yield as 16 24w cfl in the same area. It would be 1/2 the actual watts at the 16 bulbs. Since watts measure heat, it would be cooler and penitrate deeper. I am just not sure best way to go. I dont want to jump to a 250w HID yet.

How tall is your space, what are your plans for handling heat, odor and sealing out light during flower?

I have a 2 x 2 space and run 8 - T5 HO in 1/3 for veg and a 400w HPS in 2/3 for flower.

So you can do it if you plan and test.

Space will be 4' tall. DIY carbon filter, Fan for fresh air in exhaust fan into the carbon filter. Plan on LST to keep plants short.

Suck don't blow, suck through the carbon filter through your light into the fan and out of the room.

You do not want your plants any taller than 12-18" when you put them into flower

Kinda like this picture i stole:
