lighting question?

One plug hole two 600watt lights can it be done and what charger timer extension lead thing would you use ?? Cheers

1800w is the max you can draw from one plug. No experience with a 1800w timer, but googling 1800w timer brings up a few. Would be interesting if you could make some sort of gizmo to delay the power up of one by a second or two to avoid both peaking their draw together on power-up.

I'm not gonna mess with the electrics so I don't end up setting the house alight! Lol thanks for the info tho.

like the above stated if you set it up to delay start then your ok but most surge protectors are 1500 wtt rated. I had a gorilla surge/timer and it will kick off a 1000 wtt and a 400 wtt but no fans or anything else.. that was at the same time.. I set 2 different surge protectors and timers up and now I run 2 1000 watt lights off of a 25 amp breaker..less amp to start up the longer they will last also.

2 600W lights means 2 ballasts, eh? You need 2 triple plugs. One plug into the wall socket and the other plug into the timer. NOTE -- do not plug lights/ballast into timer before you set up the timer. Nothing burns out bulbs quicker than flipping them on and off. So use a small lamp or a drill motor to set up your timer. Rotate the timer until you approve the action, then plug ballasts into timer.
