^I wish I could hit you with the ban-stick.

Some people will tell you to do 18/6, while others will tell you 24/0. From what I've heard, the light hours help with "above-ground" growth, whereas the dark hours help with root growth. I don't know for sure, but it's what I've heard.

On that note, my schedule is 24/0.

If I were one to give my plant time to rest, I'd probably go 20/4 too, but that would mean I'd have to have my lights on a timer or something, and since I'm trying not to invest too much in this project, I'm not going to go out and buy a timer.

Besides, I go to sleep around midnight, and there's no way in hell I'm waking up at 4am to turn the lights on...unless someone has already prepared for 4:20am while I was sleeping.

24/7 is the easiest ya, but a timer is a nice investment and will only cost you 8 bucks

I'm strapped for cash right now. I eat LOT of pasta...do you know why? Because it's cheap and it feeds me for a long time.

I know that having a timer set up is great...so is having good lighting, good soil, etc...but when you're strapped for cash and you have to make the decision of buying stuff for the plant or buying stuff for yourself, the plant gets treated as a common houseplant.

i say just spend the little extra cash for a timer. 5-10 bucks for a timer is a lot cheaper if you do 18/6 or whatever non-24/0 cycle because electricity will end up costing more.

and i think doing a 24/0 for veg then jumping to 12/12 bloom cycle would cause a lot of stress to the plant. but thats just my .02 i could be wrong

^Good idea. I think in the last weeks before flowering is induced, I'll decrease my amount of light time gradually as to not stress the plant.
