Hi does anyone know if it would be safe for me to rewire an extra 400 watt light to my 400 watt ballast? I.e 2 400 watt bulbs running from 1 400 watt ballast.

the best that could happen would be 200 watts going through each bulb. your not going to get 800 watts of light from a 400 watt ballast. just get another one
