Lights Shining Up?

I was wondering if lights mounted around the rim of the pot pointed up would be beneficial in combination with traditional top down lighting or are they less accepting of light thats not coming down on them.

The top side of the leaves need the light not the bottom. You could do side lighting to reach those hard to reach places.

Well, the bases of the leaves are optimised for carbon dioxide and oxygen exchange. That said, light would still get to the important part of the leaves, just with slightly less penetration. An interesting experiment at the very least.

Make sure the top lights are brightest, otherwise the ladies might take a bow. ;)

I do believe it hurts the leaves when they receive large amounts of light on their underside..
