Lights,Soil,and Water

im trying to start growing and was wondering what i must have.I know i need light water and soil is that all i want to keep very basic. and if i do keep it that basic how much do you think i can produce under a 400w? and what quality bud would i expect from a plant using only 400w? i know i can use fertilizer and all that but just wondering what the end product would be with just water soil and light.

You want to use just water, soil and light? you will end up with a deficient plant (unless its outside and can find its own nutrients)and it will die an untimely death of nute def, if u dont want to buy nutrients then a good source of nitrogen for veg is ur own urine that works good. instead, throw a few worms in ya soil for worm castings. have u grown b4 or done any thing with mj as i saw u posted for someone with seeds in water soaking to wait until the leaves came out, u must have not seen it was in water and split already which meant he should plant straight away. dont listen to what the so called doctors of growing say about u on here, just read up more and learn as much as u can b4 u advise people ok m8. anyway u wanna see my plants in my journal click my animated pic at the bottom of my post also click the star at the bottom of the post lol.
