yes but not without GOOD ventalation! place ur hand on the top of the plants. if it doesn't feel TOO hot then their be fine. but why 24/24 and not 18/6.

You really, REALLY, don't need to give any plant constant light. There is a reason for this, I can't remember the scientific names (I want to say Calvin's cycle), but here is what happens: during the day (or whenever the plant gets light), the plant absorbs the energy, and during the night, it goes through biological processes to use the energy. If you give the plant too much light, it can kill it.

I suggest getting a timer, you can probably find one online (or maybe at a local gardening center [Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.]). Definitely do NOT live the lights on for that long.

I'm not sure what it is called but you are right. It uses that stored energy to build it's root system. I'm starting 24 for the first two weeks and then going to 18/6. No paticular reason just what I'm doing.
