Limits on amount in your possession

I was thinking about this and wondering why there is a 150g limit on prescriptions. There hasn't been a limit on any other medication I had to take. I've had enough morphine in front of me to choke a horse and if I really didn't need it I could have quite easily diverted that to the streets. The Feds want it to be treated like any other medication, yet it's not like any other medication. This shipping cost has me a miffed as well. Maybe I just got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning!

150g is the max amount that can be shipped at one time, not the same as a prescription limit.

I understand that...I just don't see the point. If they want to treat it like other medication, then as long as I can pay for it I should be allowed to purchase it. What happens if I want to go across Canada for a month long holiday? How's is that going to work out? Will I have to return home every 150g and wait for the postie to arrive? Doesn't that seems bit ridiculous? At every turn there is a new problem. I suppose in some ways that's good. I guess the closer we get to this deadline the more concerned?? I become. The more problems I see popping up.
