little help

What's up guys!

I've always had a green thumb, and since I just moved out of my parent's house, I've decided it's time for me to begin to grow the only plant I give a shit about. I was going to wait to get some nice seeds, but the other day, I found a fucking plant behind my neighbors house. It clearly wasn't being taken care of, so I took a clone and put it in some water.

Here's the problem: I don't know if this is weed, hemp, whatever. I also don't know if it's male or female. Regardless of what it is, I want to grow it as practice for when I really get started. The plant I got it from was 3-4 feet tall, and obviously not being taken care of (abandoned house, I live in ghetto philly.)

Any help?

Sure looks like weed to me and not from an abused plant either. I think you are a commercial grower trying to BS us.
 
Haha, thanks for the complement. It's been in there since saturday, so it's really flourished. Here's a picture of the plant i got it from (my hands are fucked up from the climbing.) If you seriously don't believe me I'll climb back over for a wide angle shot, it's seriously one cannabis plant amidst a ton of random weeds growing out of a crack in the concrete...

You took a cutting and put it in water? Rooting hormone? otherwise you wont get much new growth???

Good find, lets hope it wasn't sombodies plant hahaha +rep for taking a cutting and not the whole plant!

Seriously, just get some seeds, any seeds if you just want experience. I would say it helps a lot to know what strain you are actually growing.

doesent look like it is showing it's sex yet either if the plant you took it from is very tall and skinny, it would point to it bing male. Although this is just a pointer and not a definitive way of telling sex of a plant.

GOOOD call. I completely forgot about that!! I'm going to pick some up at walmart tom. and see if it helps.

I put some seeds on a paper towel from some middies I picked up on the street... If they even germinate, are they worth keeping, or will they REALLY suck?

You can end up with some pretty decent smoke off of schwag seeds so I say go for it.

LOL...you didnt need to climb around. I was just messing with ya. Thanks for the pic though. It still looks like a nice healthy plant :hump:

its a sative so its gonna take a lot longer to show then most just because its tall and skiny dont mean anything the only plant i got that has showed sex is tall and skinny and shes a female...
