Lockout

Im guessing I have lockout. My runoff was in the 5's and I've been feeling floranova bloom and sucking the run off out the trays with a shop vac so some of the left over gunk or whatever could still be in the trays making the runoff lower than ot really is. However this round the runoff has been low alot. Im running foxfarm soil in 5 gal cloth pots. Week 6 of flower so I need to fix asap. Im so sick of having problems like this I just wish I could have a smooth grow.

What about your runoff is in the 5s? Ph, ec?

I try to use synthetic nutrients in a medium that has no nutrition whatsoever. Takes the guesswork out of adding nutes.

A smooth grow is dependent on the grower. Up your skill set.

I don’t run synthetic nutrition so I can’t speak much to your ph lockout but if you’re looking for smooth and simple look into living soil. Buildasoil has several seasons where he just does weelky updates on his organic grows and explains what he’s doing and why on YouTube if you want to get started.

I made the switch years ago and the quality and ease of growth is much better and it is significantly cheaper once you have the soil. Yields are typically lower and growth rates aren’t as fast but i think it’s and alright trade off. I’ve been working out of town for the last year and a bit and I only go back to my house I’m growing at every other weekend and it puts out consistent top quality flower. I haven’t used a ph meter for anything for about 5 years and haven’t had 0 problems.

I tried the living soil when I started out and idk if it's just because I didn't have the knowledge or what but it wasn't working for me. Maybe I just had bad soil. I was using sohum living soil "just add water" and by the time I got to like the 2nd week of flower or so the plants would be struggling with deficiencies. That's when I switched and yes its a little more work but I like having more control over the grow, if that makes sense

Growing in peat/Pro-Mix? If the runoff pH is around 5 coming out and lower than input the pH of the medium will be even lower.

I often ended up feeding close to 8 in pH in late flower growing in peat to compensate for low pH. Feeding two times a day.

Cheers!

You need to add nutrition to living soil through the grow. It's called top dressing.
