Lollipopping: when and how much at the time?

I like to lollipop my plants they've been in flower for 13 days now. I've read that many growers lollipopp 14-21 days in bloom, in veg-stage and/or little by little while the plant/plants are growing in veg and bloom.

I'm curious how other farmers out there are doing it or if there's any advice/pointers for me. I'm curious if I should do a prune now or is it too late?
If i'm able to prune now, how much is too much to take off once the gals are in 12/12?
They are autoflowers btw.

Best regards.

I wouldn't prune an Auto at all personally. For me lollypopping has it's place, but it's mainly for when I have a full canopy and lots of lower junk that looks like it will cause airflow problems and only grow fluffy larf.

Autos are not well suited to pruning since they live their lives on a ticking clock. Any stress will only slow growth and hurt end yield IMO. I prefer to gently bend the main stem down to get multiple tops, it causes very little stress and really boosts yields if the plant likes it...Just be sure to get the main top below the lower shoots, take a few steps if it needs it. This will shift hormones to the lowers making them think they are tops :)
