Longevity of Mother Plants

ok , I had a mother plant for about 6 years.... I am wondering if after time a mother will lose her potency? (the final crop I had was not as strong as it should have been and I noticed a steady decline over the years?

I've never heard of a mother that old! Props I wouldn't be surprised if the plant started to diminish aft that many years but I don't have any first hand experience.

Maybe its not the mother? Maybe its your tolerance?

i have a friend that has the same plant for 45 yrs..... wont let me touch it. only saw it 2 times threw a window. its a beast of a plant his grandfather past on. hes got one female and one male. every few yrs he breeds there clones for more seeds. he grows everything outside from seed no clones. seeds are the size of grape fruit seeds. so large is weird. but maybe you want to try and bred a clone.
